The 3 key Cala Gran Apartments are situated around 100 metres from the Cala Gran beach in the popular resort of Cala d'or on the southern east coast of Majorca. The apartments are approximately 60km east of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International airport, and around 200 metres from the pedestrianised centre of the resort, where you will find a wide selection of bars, restaurants and shops.

Built in 1957 and extensively refurbished during the winter of 2000, the modern low rise Cala Gran complex has a total of 78 guest rooms, including 45 one and two bedroom self catering apartments and a further 33 studio flats, which are built over 4 floors and set amidst spacious Mediterranean style gardens and sun terraces overlooking a central pool area.

All guest rooms are either air conditioned or centrally heated according to the season and come equipped with a fully fitted "en suite" bathroom with shower, along with an open plan kitchenette with electric cooking rings and refrigerator, a combined lounge/dining room with additional sofa beds, direct dial telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box available for rental and either a balcony or terrace, most of which have exterior views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above features, a maid service is also provided, undertaking a change of towels as required, and change of bed linen once a week.

Guests staying at the Cala Gran Apartments are welcome to use the facilities at the adjacent Hotel Cala Gran which includes a 24 hour reception area with currency exchange services, along with a games room, an air conditioned buffet style restaurant and snack bar, offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus, luggage and courtesy rooms for late departures, laundry and medical services and both lounge and pool bars.

Sporting and leisure facilities available to guests includes a large outdoor freshwater swimming pool for adults, with integrated children's section, and spacious sun terraces and gardens which are furnished with loungers and parasols. Other leisure facilities includes a children's playground and mini club, as well as tennis and squash courts and both pool and table tennis tables.

The Hotel Cala Gran also provides a seasonal programme of daytime sporting activities, organised each day by their resident animation team, featuring rifle shooting, water polo and aerobics, as well as evening entertainment with a children's mini disco which is then followed by either live music, cabaret or other professional shows several times each week.
